The most memorable Thanksgiving EVER!

Thanksgiving dinner in Richfield with the Henrie's was a blast. As always! I absolutely love my family get-togethers. We had a great time. Gavin, Shelby and I went and saw the Twilight movie that had just came out (don't ask me the name of it! I can't keep them in order). BIG dinner with lots of yummy food. (My favorite part). Had a good laugh with the "toot" machine. It was awesome. BUT This was the calm before the storm!

All is fine and dandy here. Hung out in the house with the Wiley's on Friday. Braden came along to get a taste of real redneck living :) Went on 4wheeler rides, shooting, just enjoyed each others company. Had fun laughing, playing games, and telling stories. But unbeknownst to us all, the evil death was infiltrating us all. Little by little we were all becoming exposed to what would be referred to as Hell on earth! Things were going GREAT!

UNTIL it hit! The death plague of 2009! It was horrible! We were dropping like flies! I cannot remember now who started with it. Cade maybe? Then Grandma Roma. In the middle of the night. Then Justin, Mason, Sadie, Rory, and Gavin. Going on the mountain to get Christmas trees was a real treat. Corbin got sick, Raymond got sick. Ty and Shay next. AND let me just remind you that this is still Saturday morning! By Sunday, Paula, Shelby, Me, Aunt Sally, Uncle Tom, Uncle Jeremy, Aunt Jan, EVERYONE!!!!!!!! Besides my grandparents (who had already had it the week before) ALL 23 of us got the dreaded stomach flu! AND to top it all off, there is only ONE, count em ONE bathroom in the WHOLE house!! Me and Gavin and the boys stayed in one house trailer (which had NO running water by the way). Rory and his family in another. Yet we all contracted the same illness.

My grandmothers poor house will never be the same again. I don't think she will ever be able to get the smell out of those bathroom rugs as long as she lives!! It was horrible. Waking up in the middle of the night with that gut wrenching "You should've already been sitting on the toilet with the garbage can in front of your face" feeling only to run into a locked door! Then having to run out to the corrals with the cows and skunks and coyotes and bats and try not to get it everywhere. While the snow falls ever so softly on your bare behind. SERIOUSLY Thanksgiving WAS my favorite holiday. NOW, I'm not so sure.
